Strengths Gym for Education combines current research in positive psychology with best practices in Orton Gillingham instruction.

Adaptable for teaching classrooms and small groups.

Strengths Gym for Education is a 6-Part training course that explores one of the key aspects of positive psychology; we get more of what we focus on. One of the key aims of Strengths Gym is Strength Builders. Students learn to become more aware of strengths in themselves, in other people, and in the world around them. This can lead to increased self-esteem, academic achievement, better teamwork and improved social skills.

OG Academic and the Prospect Centre for Multisensory Learning (Orton-Gillingham) supports struggling students to reach their academic potential, discover who they are as learners and change their outlook about their potential. The Strengths Gym program was successfully integrated into our curriculum in 2016. We are happy to share it with you now.

The Strengths Gym for Education Course  is designed for new teachers, Orton-Gillingham practitioners, education assistants, administrators, learning support teachers, home-school instructors and parents.

The course is self-paced. Training video modules are released in sequence immediately once your online registration is completed.

You will have access to the course for one full year from the date of registration, so you may return to the course and review it at your convenience.

You will receive your certificate for the 15-hour Strengths Gym for Education Course shortly after completing 100% of the training.

See the bottom of the page for more information & instructor bios.
